I seem to be running out of charging cables at home. Some I give to family, some family takes from me. Some I give to coworkers, some coworkers take from me. Some suffer from extensive use as shared charging cables, with scarring evident at the port connector/cable joint, resulting in poor connectivity and imminent failure on the horizon. That's a great deal of stress on one person's psychological well being. To live with uncertainty about your phone battery's ability to produce enough energy for your mobile, forcing a selfie reschedule to a later date. Luckily I don't have the problem of vanity, but other concerns are always eager to replace those I don't have.Since I run an electronics repair workshop out of my basement, charging/download cables are a compulsory tool. Some cables are simply too short, and others may be too bulky and rigid on account of sleeves used as insulation/protection. These aren't momentous imperfections and can be easily overcome, however it is nice to have a tool that functions as intended in any scenario. Like war...or reading in church...or disturbingly, selfies in public washrooms (why, ladies......why???).I want/need a practical and efficient charging device. When I saw this bundled package of two cables and two power bricks fom ARCCRA, I did not hesitate. I received the items shortly thereafter, packaged in a plastic bag for protection. Kind of like a fetus but not as disturbing.I removed the cables and power bricks, as you do, and began charging stuff......as you do. First, I tried my personal phone which I typically charge with a wireless charger to minimize wear of the connecting port. This charger actually made me angry. But wait, hear me out. I charge my phone to 65% which helps prolong mobile phone battery life. I left the pair unsupervised for a period of 30 minutes, maybe more, maybe less......maybe more...and came back to find my mobile charged from 26% to 80%. That's fast. Is it fast? I thought it was fast.Aside from fast charging mobiles at 20W per port (40W total), the brick consists of two USB-C connections, thus providing a degree of versatility. Matter of fact, the only USB-C to USB-C cables I have are the ones that were included with this purchase. My mobile and other devices are old, you see. I never replace electronics unless they have officially ceased to function properly. My LG G6 is from 2017, still running great so why would I replace it? Oh yeah, that's right, social status!!! And these cables are lavishly long, like my wife's eyelashes. Make my other cables jealous. But for convenience, they have a velcro band attached so when you need to shorten cable length for convenience, securing them in a tighter roll is not a problem.Moving on, the aesthetics are rather unimaginative. In other words subtle, modest, humble, discreet, simple...which is what you'd want in a mobile charging pack. No need for ASUS to manufacture an ROG Strix version of such a simple instrument, then price it inappropriately. Although one nice feature missing from most power bricks, as with this one, is an indication light. Something very inconspicuous, but revealing. You know, "Ding fries are done", as it were. And the text on the side of the brick is...tastefully applied...meaning there is none.Definitely recommend these chargers. They are...electrifying. Just be weary, 20W will charge devices pretty quickly so if you're maintaining battery health by preventing 100% charges, be vigilant.Oh, man. This is great. I'm going to go charge something else. :D
